On December 15, more than 100,000 nurses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland went on strike – the first in 106 years – with their union, the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). In the following days, ambulance drivers, railway workers and customs officers also went on strike for higher wages.
The nurses imposed a strike call on their union leadership. They refuse to accept any loss of wages in the face of inflation of more than 10%. They demand the abrogation of the 47,000 jobs cut by all successive governments, whether Labour, Liberal or Conservative.
The strike was also imposed against the will of the leadership of the central trade union federation, the Trade Union Congress (TUC), which rejects any call for a general strike, and against the leadership of the Labour Party, which has been relentless for weeks in denouncing any strike and which has just declared that the nurses’ wage demand is “unreasonable.”
This stance allows the Conservative government to have the audacity to threaten to send the army to replace ambulance drivers and customs officers if they go on strike. COBRA, the intergovernmental body that coordinates all security services, has just given the green light to the use of armed forces against strikers. They would be deployed in hospitals, ports and airports to try to break the strike.
“We are a few hours away from a decisive turning point in the social war that the government is waging, with the support of Starmer [the leader of the Labour Party], to make the workers pay for the cost of the war in Ukraine*,” explains a trade union official. “What are you waiting for, TUC leaders? It’s high time to call a general strike against wage cuts, in defense of the unions and the right to strike. Hands off our unions!

He’s been a truck driver, a lumber yard worker, a university professor, a gang busting lifeguard, a rider of Amtrak trains, a civil rights protester, and he even got arrested trying to bust Nelson Mandela out of prison once.
Of course, none of these things are real.
He did this again at the weekend.
Biden claimed that he’s been to Afghanistan and Iraq up to 40 times, and twice as President.
In reality he went to those countries half that amount of times, and never as President:

I haven't applied to have my old Twitter account restored for two reasons.
Firstly, the pseudo-academia and media-class in Australia have through consistent use of certain words loosely associated me with Brenton Tarrant, that guy from the Christchurch shooting.
I'm obviously not a proponent of political violence, I never knew or spoke to Tarrant and that's the truth, however when you Google my name and read a little, it seems like I might have known him and unfortunately that's all that matters these days;
In politics nothing is what it actually is, it is only as it can be made to seem.
Mainstream media slander, guilt by association or just straight up lies does affect your personal life and that's clearly the point of it all. Even if it is later proven false and retracted, it doesn't really matter. So long as a history of serious accusations remains on your Wikipedia, many will still choose to believe it.
In my experience, after reading a collection of hit pieces or false information about you branded with an official logo, employers don't bother asking for your side of the story before showing you the door, because the truth about you and your history doesn't actually matter. All that matters is how things seem; how will this affect their reputation among their corporate peers?; How might this incur loss of revenue?
In considering account restorations, social media staff are no different. They don't care what your actual story is, all they care about is how reinstating you will make them look to their sponsors.
Just quickly though: There's dense silver lining to all of this I haven't yet mentioned.
The hatred of the media-class was something I earned years ago and this ended up being one of the best things I ever did, because by the time that pandemic propaganda and subsequent vaccine frenzy rolled around, I had no reason to believe or submit to any of it. I had already learned to not only mistrust the press, but to generally believe the complete opposite of whatever was being beamed from out of the screens by official spokespersons.
What reason did I have to line up for injections of poison? I had already lost dozens of jobs. I had lost access to certain banks and payment processors, I had already learned to live on little and to never become too invested in or dependent on a sole source of income. I was forced to move around a lot, work with my hands, live only on what I really needed and I'm very glad for it, because this lifestyle afforded me an autonomy most people are taught to trade in, in exchange for debt and total subordination to large companies and their policies.
Better still, thanks to my activism and how the system responded, my immediate family was witness to everything they needed to see to understand how this noble democracy actually operates; censorship, slander, business deregistration and criminal charges for hate-speech. This meant that my parents and my sisters no longer believed anything they saw on a television, no longer trusted the law and had no reason to see so-called experts as anything but system-puppets representing some special political or corporate interest. We all supported each other during the so-called pandemic and none of us got injected with anything. And we are all in perfect health, my sister just had a baby.
Anyway, the second reason I won't bother with Twitter is because I feel as though Gab and Telegram have been more dependable platforms.
I can be myself here and I don't want to return to an app where I need to subconsciously censor myself in order to remain visible. Everybody on Twitter does this to some degree and if you do it for long enough, you can end up confusing your own thoughts with what you ought to be thinking, according to the Twitter rules and the expectations of others.
